To design and build two websites and a Content Management System (CMS) that could be used for multiple websites, based upon a common flexible platform.

The new Horse & Rider and PonyMag web sites are now live after a 12 month project working with Signature Publishing Ltd and are driven by a custom built CMS.

Almost a year ago we were shortlisted to pitch to the board of directors at SPL detailing our skills and why they should opt to work with Twobelowzero on two of their most prestigious publishing titles. After successfully beating the competition the we set about putting a ‘road map’ together while analysing their direct competition and current system.

The ‘road map’ was then re-presented to SPL to finalise the details. From this we produced a ‘Strategic Production Document’ in conjunction with our coding partners Gravitywell. We work with Gravitywell on some of our larger projects that require extensive custom development. Our working relation in this project allowed twobelowzero to focus on the design and functionality elements of the two sites and project management; while Simon and his team worked on the code framework and bespoke development needed for these two sites.

By having the ‘Strategic Production Document’ it meant that everyone involved in the project had a written record of what was going to be produced, what each web module would do, how it would function and the time scales involved for development.
